I stopped with this blog in May of 2011 because everything was going so well. It was mostly about being treated for and recovering from cancer, and cancer seeming to be no longer part of my life, it just sort of went away. Like the cancer.
Now it's back, and so is the cancer. I have had a great year. I have put extra value on life after such this scary time. It is disappointing to find it popping up again somewhere else. I don't know how bad it is until the Pet/Ct scan on Monday next (13 Feb) or rather when someone gets to tell me what it all means. I got over it before and may do so again, I don't know and I don't believe that that is in my hands. I do know that the way I experience whatever is coming is up to me and that I have in my hands the power to lighten the burden for myself and perhaps for those dear to me. Sara says I helped myself with humour the last time. Maybe it will help again. So the blog will continue as a means of keeping friends and family in touch with my state of body and mind. But first I will try to back-track into the immediate past so that I myself can look back on a wonderful year.
To be continued....er hopefully
September 2012
Since I am still here in September one can assume that things did in fact work out. The scan showed new tumours in the lymph glands in my groin, one lung and somewhere near the prostate, but not in it. The lymph gland operation did go OK but the future will never be 100 percernt certain, but I am back for the forseeable future..
Must find out what happened between February and September!
To England with Merel and Adam. Adam to a seminar of the church and we all to see as much family as we could, including the new great granddaughter. Will try to fill in some words later, but these photos were the oldest in the camera.
October 2012
Not being sure of what might happen, a trip to Rome with Merel, Caroline and Bernadet. I had always wanted to see Rome as 'one of the last things'and now I have seen it. Wonderful.
